Purpose of the Call Center
Call Center is an important communications link to clients who seek information about sexual and reproductive health issues in general and abortion/family planning in particular. It is also planned to be a source of information for healthcare providers on sexual and reproductive health issues. It provides a call free line which can be called. All the calling numbers are recorded automatically when the calls are made or received. The Call Center centrally manages all in-coming calls and may make calls back to the clients who seek information.

Birth of the AOGU Call Center
In 2022, AOGU initiated a concept of Using digital platforms (call centre, WhatsApp, Zoom and Phone Short Messaging services) for improved access to reliable information, support and accompaniment of self-managed abortions for adolescents, women, young people (both in and out of school) and other marginalized groups from peri-urban and rural areas of Wakiso, Kampala and Mukono. The Call Center however seeks to serve the entire Nation!
