This 5 day model of mentorship, took place in southern and northern Karamoja whereby AOGU Members guided health providers to improve the quality of care and skills in health care delivery systems in their respective places of work.
The specialists worked with facility health providers
in their setting, with emphasis on skills transfer,
clinical organization, patient flow and continuous
quality improvement in the key areas identified to promote sustained provision of quality Emergency Obstetric/Newborn Care as a pre-requisite to the reduction of maternal morbidity and mortality.
Three mentorships were conducted from
25th – 29th July 2016, 15th -20th May 2016, 22nd – 27th May 2017.
