AOGU in Partnership with CUAMM
AOGU in partnership with Doctors with Africa CUAMM (Medici con l’Africa CUAMM) commonly referred to simply as CUAMM carried out CEMONC training in 2016 followed by mentorship in 2017 in seven districts of Northern; Abim, Kotido, Kaabong and Southern; Amudat, Nakapiripirit, Moroto, Napak – Karamoja.
The RMNCH component is meant to strengthen the capacity of the districts to scale up and sustain the provision of high quality, high impact maternal, neonatal and child and adolescent health interventions focusing on integrated and innovative approaches to reach the unreached by supporting skills development and implementation of quality
improvement approaches for MHN and adolescent health, supporting monitoring and evaluation of RMNCH interventions, providing financial support to transportation voucher scheme targeting pregnant mothers and sick newborns and support automated RMNCH score.
The objectives were to
1. To enhance the acquisition of skills competencies of different cadres in EmOC, newborn care.
2. To strengthen the mentorship skills of the District mentors in EmOC, newborn care.
3. To promote professionalism, communication skills and good ethical conducts of health workers.
4. To improve Health workers’ participation on documentation of Health information system Health facilities.
